Mind functions and herbs

Nutrition plays a big role in how well the mind functions. In fact, the link between nutrition and cognitive function continues to gain support with each new study. Research has already looked at the potential protective role of foods like pomegranate and berries, green tea and fish against cognitive impairment and the on-set of Alzheimer's disease. A new study adds CPC-choline to the growing list of brain energizers. Researchers studied Cognizin Citicoline (CPC-choline) and found that it "improves cellular bioenergetics."

In another area, studies of curcumin have been increasing in recent years and scientists have been investigating its potential benefits for reducing cholesterol levels, improving cardiovascular health, reducing the risk of Alzheimer's and protecting against cancer. The most recent study of curcumin shows that it may provide valuable support for diabetics.
